THE PRACTICE

Our Practice
Welcome to Northside Psychiatry. We strive to provide compassionate behavioral health care for children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and their families. Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more challenging problems.
Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow.
You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you.

As a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions. I am comfortable and proficient in treating all psychiatric disorders. I have worked in inpatient, crisis stabilization, and outpatient settings which have given me a unique breadth of experience. I am licensed in Oklahoma to diagnose, provide therapy and education, and to prescribe medications for mental health conditions.
In my practice, I utilize a combination of psychiatric medication and therapy with a focus on solution focused therapy. For those that need more intensive psychotherapy/counseling, we have a network of therapists in the area and can refer out . In my experience, not everyone needs medication, so I only utilize medications when they are necessary and appropriate. For those suffering from severe symptoms that are debilitating and affecting their functioning at school, work, or personal relationships, then the combination of medication and therapy is the best approach. I believe that the patient is ultimately the expert in their own health and well-being, and my goal is to work together to come up with a treatment plan that is both evidence-based and in line with their values and goals.
